About Dr. Ahmad Zand D.D.S.
Our main focus is on making patients feel relaxed and comfortable as much as we can in our office for an experience of pure satisfaction. Our patient’s time is valuable, and so we aim to provide the best possible treatment by our experienced and professional staff to get you in and out and on with your day.
We strive to deliver the best care for all of your dental needs in a warm, professional atmosphere while providing you affordable and gentle dental care. We have locations in both Saginaw, Michigan and Lansing, Michgan.
Dr. Zand has been practicing dentistry since 1998. With 18 years’ experience, his exquisite knowledge will exceed expectations and provide the best care one deserves. He sponsors the Zand Family baseball team, contributes to Breast Cancer Awareness, supports the Special Olympics, and periodically works with Michigan Head Start Association to provide children dental care.
Dr. Zand has been accredited with an MDA, ADA, is certified with Invisalign, and ClearCorrect.
Insurance
At Zand Family Dental we welcome a vast majority of dental insurances and ensure the experience is financially convenient. Our staff is prepared to answer any questions, as they are informed and up-to-date regarding coverage as well as reimbursement. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t be afraid to call!
Sedation
Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective sedative agent that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose to help you relax. Nitrous oxide, sometimes called “laughing gas,” is one option in our offices and may offer to help make you more comfortable during certain procedures.
Meet Our Staff
Ahmad R. Zand, DDS
Dr. Zand grew up in the Saginaw area, the second oldest of three brothers. He attended Saginaw Valley State University where he received his undergraduate degree in science and he attended University of Michigan’s School of Dentistry where he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery graduating with honors.
Dr. Zand has completed hundreds of hours of courses in post-graduate dentistry. He is dedicated to the newest advancements in cosmetic dentistry and keeps up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Dr. Zand has over 17-years’ experience as a family and cosmetic dentist. He strongly believes in the benefits of preventive dentistry. Dr. Zand works with his patients to provide care based on each person’s individual needs. We strive to maintain the highest level of patient comfort. The ultimate goal is to help and motivate our patients to improve their health, self-esteem, and quality of life.
Dr. Zand is a standing member of the American Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Central District Dental Society. Locally, he is a member of the Saginaw Valley Chamber of Commerce and various other civic organizations.
When Dr. Zand is not practicing his passion of family dentistry he spends most of his time with his lovely wife Lisa and his step-son Charlie. He is an avid golfer and loves all sports.

Barb
Barb has been Dr. Zand’s office manager for 17 years, managing both East Lansing and Saginaw offices. Her knowledge and love for her job shapes an enjoyable environment in the office. She enjoys spending her time with her family, and playing with her grandson, Carson.
Christina
Christina has been working for Dr. Zand for over 10 years, starting as a dental assistant and now the office manager for the East Lansing branch. Her effervescent personality and dedication will make every patient feel comfortable and delighted while receiving care. She enjoys spending her time with her daughter Kinsley, being outdoors and doing crafts.
Sonia
Sonia has been doing dental assistance with Dr. Zand for 17 years. She enjoys working with the many patients she has met over the years, making it pleasant visiting our office. Outside the office she loves spending her time with her husband Gilbert and children, Cielo and Lazarus.
Jessica
Jessica graduated from Ross Medical Education Center for dental assisting and has been working for Dr. Zand for 3 years. She takes pride in making the patients feel relaxed and at ease. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Brinley on camping trips and also gardening.
Mackenzie
Mackenzie is a new addition to our team this year, she’s aspiring to be a dental hygienist. Her uplifting presence makes everyone comfortable in our office. She loves reading, and spending time with her potbelly pig Mooshu.
Randee
Randee is also new to our team this year. She’s excited to get into the dental field , and especially loves to work with our pediatric patients. Her pleasant nature makes the environment in our office relaxing. She loves to kayak, and spending time with her family.
Joe
Joe has been a patient with Dr. Zand for 17 years, father to Christina, and has been maintaining and cleaning Dr. Zand’s office. Joe is a part of the dental family here and makes all of us laugh and smile. Joe likes to spend time doing yard work and with his granddaughter Kinsley.
